Serving Table De Luxe
T HE new R. Wallace Serving Table De Luxe is not only a serving
table. but a silver cabinet as well, and can undergo a complete
metamorphosis as the occasion demands. One moment it is a beau-
tiful mahogany serving table: the next, a convenient, commodious silver
chest. But so skilfully executed in workmansbip and design is this latest
R. Wallace triumph that even after the most searching serutiny one would
never dream that within an unusually artistie and innocent exterior there
lay concealed. in four neatly arranged purple velvet lined drawers. 108
pieces of Hat silver in any one of the many handsome Wallace patterns.
The transformation is as simple to aecomplish as it is effective when
accomplished. The four drawers are merely shut and a mahogany drop-
front closed over them and caught by an invisible lock. whieh is operated
from an entrance beneath the table.
It then presents the appearance of, and actually is, a solid mahogany serv-
ing table of the Sheraton period. The amount of thought and time de-
roted to every detail of this table can be appreciated only by judging the
exquisite perfection of the finished produet. Eaeh table is the result of
expert band workmanship, which permits of a greater beauty and refine-
ment of line and finish than if turned out in lots. Throughout it is charad-
terized by the same faultless, flawless grace of execution and design that
have made the silver it contains so universally admired. One can hardly
conceive of' a more ideal and appropriate wedding gift.
Though this table was originally made in aecordanee with the style of the
Sheraton period, it ean be furnished to harmonize with the strle of a!
period at a slightly increased cost. For complete detail and price of Serving
Table De Luxe, with contents, see opposite page.
